Friends of Baxter Creek would like to thank the following individuals for their valuable contributions to this site:
- Douglas Klimesh generously donated his time to help program the site. If you'd like to hire Douglas for similar Web programming, send him an e-mail message or visit his Website.
- Producer and documentary filmmaker Jennifer Paige kindly offered to host this Website on the server of her multimedia production company, Creative Differences Media, which specializes in Web/new media production, print and presentation graphics, and all phases of video production. To learn more about Jennifer's company, send her an e-mail message or visit her Website.
- Green Plans' Allen Green worked closely with Friends of Baxter Creek, the City of El Cerrito, and the National Park Service to create the Conceptual Design of the North Gateway site pictured on our Restorations page. - World-renowned landscape architect and creek-restoration expert Gary Mason of Wolfe Mason Associates, Inc., Oakland, and his associate Sarah Tamblyn worked with us to create the designs for an extension of the Ohlone Greenway along a restored Baxter Creek. Over the past three decades, Gary was involved in 50 urban restoration projects all over the world..
- Photographer and FOBC'er Michael Mejia donated several images of Baxter Creek and environs for use on this Website. Many thanks for his support and assistance over the years. For a recent image of the North Gateway site, see our Restorations Page.
- Steve Price created the inspiring "before" and "after" views of the creek to help illustrate what an extension of the Ohlone Greenway would look like along Baxter Creek. Steve's Oakland company, Urban Advantage,
specializes in creating photomontages of urban and suburban revitalization. For more information about Steve's work, send him an e-mail message or visit his Website.
- Tiffany Manchip created the stunning graphics used on our Home Page, About FOBC Page, and Feedback Page. Trained at the California College of Arts and Crafts, Tiffany is a talented Bay Area wildlife artist, muralist, illustrator, and sculptor.
- Many thanks to Betty Buginas for providing digital photos throughout the site. For instance, our story of Stege's frog farm is illustrated with a photo of a Pacific chorus frog she snapped in March 2000 near Baxter Creek's underground source in Mira Vista Country Club. For breaking El Cerrito news, check out Betty's Web-based newspaper, El Cerrito Wire.
- Thanks also go to FOBC'ers Larry and Emmy Damon, Mike Mejia, and George Fosselius, who graciously contributed photos to our site.
- Poets Marge Piercy and James Russell Williams wrote the evocative poetry that appears on our How to Join and Photo Album Pages.
- Jan Dunlop's Richmond Girl Scout Troop #1685 drew the imaginative drawings on our Fun for Kids and Wildlife Pages as well as the whimsical sign pictured on our Photo Album Page.
